Thank your for your interest in our stud
services.
We trust that your intentions to breed your female are for the betterment of the
breed and that you will have excellent homes reserved for the resulting puppies.
Here at Ashland, we provide stud services utilizing Natural breedings and
Artificial Inseminations using fresh semen. We also can ship fresh
chilled, extended semen for those that do not live close by.
Our stud services are available to "approved" females.
What does "approved" mean?
Every stud owner has a certain criteria that the female and her owner must meet
before allowing a mating with their stud.
First, we will not breed to your female unless she has her OFA and ACVO
clearances.
For females that will be visiting us, we require a current brucellosis test and
vaginal culture to rule out any infections, both must be performed at the first
stage of the heat cycle.
The stud fee for any of our males is $700.00. We require 1/2 down at the
time of service and the balance due when pups are born. See our contract for

If you are not familiar with the AKC standard or if you have previously or
intend to sell your puppies to dog brokers, pet stores, other 2nd parties or
provide them for raffles/auctions or place all of your puppies on AKC full
registration, then we cannot provide stud services for your female.
If however, you are seriously interested in one of our males and believe that he
would be a suitable mate for your female, then please mail or e-mail me a copy
of your females pedigree along with a color picture, be sure to include your
information and phone number and I will get back with you in a quick manner.
All visiting females are provided with excellent care and when performing natural
matings, all are attended to so no careless injury may result and to be sure
that breedings ARE DONE at the right time as nothing can be more disappointing
than to not have a litter when planned.
You can call me anytime to discuss our services in detail but until I see your
female and her pedigree, I cannot make judgment on her quality.
